All continents are made from individual hand cut pieces of minerals, hard stones and semi-precious stones.The seas are made from Mother of Pearl or Lapis Lazuli to give the deep blue, as they are all hand made by Artisans no two globes are ever identical. Mother of Pearl Gemstone Globes Using Freshwater Mother of Pearl each Globes sea contains handcut tiles (and not cheaper ground mother of pearl) to create a fantastic cream pearlescent finish. As with all of our globes they are silk screen printed and the names of the countries and all text stand out clearly. Our New REAL Mother of Pearl Globe is a real head turner. Its quality is plain to see! Lapis Lazuli Globes Whats different about our Lapis Globes? They can actually be called Lapis Globes as they contain Lapis Lazuli whereas other companies tend to use blue resin to create a lower quality finish. You will actually be able to see the Lapis Lazuli sparkling in the light. Black Agate Globes The seas are all black agate which makes the lighter coloured gems of the countries stand out against the deep black stone. The contrast between the stand and globe can add that finishing touch to any room of the house. |
