The face of the Greenman can be seen on the roofs, pillars and doorways of great cathedrals and churches and appears on second century Roman columns in Turkey and in Jain temples in Rajasthan. He is found all over England, some parts of Wales and Scotland and a few rare places in Ireland. On the continent he has been seen and noted in Germany, France, Italy, Holland and is said to be found in Spain, Hungary and Poland.
The amazing ‘Greenman’ wall plaques range, designed by David Lawrence, incorporate so many different designs, that there is something to brighten up any wall, inside or out.
The ‘Greenperson’ is said to embody the life force of rebirth that after the death of Winter, Spring must return and bring with it the Sun, growth and Plenty. These are often hung by entrances and doorways as a Talisman to bring Good Fortune, Health and Happiness. They also enrich the harmony and persona when placed in your garden.
